My childhood dream

As far as I can remember I was fascinated by long hair from a very young age. I used to imagine that I had long hair, by wearing my mom’s scarfs. I also had occasional dreams of me being in heaven with long hair.

Our hair struggle

When I got married my desire was to have a daughter in order for me to style her hair. Guess what? I styled my daughters hair when she was only 2 weeks old. When she got older I used chemicals on her hair, since I knew no better. Our hair used to grow for a season and after that break off. I got sick and tired of using chemicals and decided to go natural.

Calling God on the scene

I called my daughter and told her that we need to ask God to help our hair grow out. We prayed and believed deep down in our hearts that God was going to answer our prayers.. When God created the earth, He made provision for all human needs. Spiritually and naturally.

Inspirational scriptures

I was inspired by the following scriptures in the book of Genesis and Corinthians These scriptures made me realize that there must be a seed, herb, plant or fruit in nature for every physical need ( health, skin , hair etc. ) that human beings may have.

Genesis 1 : 29
 
“And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.”

Just like a man making provision for his wife to be, so God created nature to meet our human needs

1 Corinthians 11: 15

“ But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.”

I came to the conclusion if God gave a woman hair as a covering then there must be some herb in nature to meet this specific need. It is up to us as humans to discover which herbs works for our specific hair type.

Our prayers been answered

I did my research and tried different natural herbs, seeds and plants on me and my daughters hair. Our hair started growing just as we believed it would.

The birth of B u NIQUE

My friend , Mumcy saw our hair progress and approached me to help others to also grow out their hair. Our new company B u NIQUE was born. We had a winning hair routine that we followed , but the process was too long.

My dilemma

My dilemma was the following::

1. How do we shorten the wash day routine to soothe everyone’s needs?
2. How can we keep our products 100 percent natural without adding any unnatural preservatives etc.?
3. How do we cater for low and high porosity hair?

All praises to Almighty God

I sat for hours trying to figure out an easy but effective way in which this could be accomplished . By God’s Grace I figured out exactly what should be done. All praises , honor and glory to Almighty God for carrying us trough this whole journey.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
